Admissions are taken directly for Class –I. Admission of new students to the various classes shall be made after the declaration of Annual Examination Result. The date of the issue of Admission Forms and the Admission date shall be notified on the School Notice Board.
Every Candidate for admission and withdrawal must be introduced by a letter or person who will be responsible before the Principal for him / her.
Students seeking admission for the institution from another school shall have to produce a Transfer Certificate from the school last attended. This should be endorsed / countersigned by the District Education Officer of the District in which the School is located. The endorsement should specifically indicate whether or not it is a Recognized Institution. The application for admission should be made in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the School Office and the information must be filled in with utmost accuracy. No subsequent change will be permitted.
WITHDRAWAL
Parents/guardians wishing to withdraw their children onward from the school must notify their intention to the Principal in writing 20 days prior to doing so. Any Transfer Certificate that goes out of the state of Andaman & Nicobar Union Territory has to be countersigned by Deputy Education Officer, Directorate of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Port Blair.
Any certificate from the school will cost Rs. 50/-. Cancellation of Transfer Certificate will result in a penalty of Rs. 100/-.
Parents/ guardians must clear all school fees dues before withdrawing Transfer Certificate of their children or wards.
DISMISSAL
Notwithstanding anything in the Prospectus, the Principal and the Manager may at their absolute discretion, request any parents/guardians at any time to take his/her ward out of the school in case of anti-social or anti-national behavior in the students and if no improvement is found after giving reasonable opportunity to improve upon.
As a rule, a student who is dismissed /has taken Transfer Certificate is not re-admitted.
Both the Principal and the Manager are the final authority in granting admission/warning/suspension/dismissal and their decision is final and binding on all.
HOSTEL FACILITY (OPTIONAL)
The Students willing to opt hostel facility can avail hostel of Nirmala Sr Sec School. The Association of Catholic Andaman & Nicobar Islands has provided two hostels for Boys and Girls separately for Nirmala Sr Sec School in which students of Sagritara School can avail hostel facility with prior approval of Manager of Nirmala Sr Sec School. The inmates are students who hail from far & distant inter-islands, from Diglipur in the North to Campbell Bay, Great Nicobar in the South in order to pursue their academic studies. Both the hostels have the capacity to accommodate 150 students. The hostels are provided with beds and study desk, offering students a clean, comfortable and homely environment.
25% QUOTA UNDER RIGHT TO EDUCATION (RTE)
As per the judgement of the Constitutional Bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, dated 06th May, 2014, Writ Petition No. 416 of 2012, 1081 of 2013, 60, 95, 106, 128, 144, 145, 160 and 136 of 2014 in case of Pramati Educational & Cultural Trust and others Vs. Union of India, Minority Educational Institutions, whether Aided or Unaided are exempted from providing 25% quota to students of Economically Weaker Sections in admission under RTE. Yet, the school offer Fee Concession to students of weaker sections of the society to those who applied for it.
