Education shapes the destiny of any nation,it is rightly said. In its technical sense, education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another. In essence, education is any experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character and physical ability of an individual.
Sagritara School, Port Blair stands for academic excellence, development of skills and character formation, based on the love of God and the service of man. The school is keen to preserve and promote the rich diversity of India’s cultural heritage. We provide ample avenues for all-round development of our children’s personality. We are also encouraged by the fact that the demand for our service keeps growing year after year.
Ours is a minority (Unaided)educational institution established and administered by the Association of Catholic Andaman and Nicobar Islands with the Roman Catholic Bishop of Port Blair as its chairman. The school is duly recognized by the Directorate of Education, A & N Administration. The medium of instruction is English with Hindi as the second language.
This institution, which had its origin as a Pre-Primary school in 1968, is currently a Secondary School having classes from I to X. The infrastructure in every respect is very good. The school is affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
